Montana’s First ‘CAT CAFE’ is Now Open
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a "CAT CAFE?" I sure hope you dont think of the variety of different cooked cat menu items. That would just make you a psychopath. But, maybe you might think of it as a expensive drop off pet spa or even a place that serves cat nip tea?
Actually, it is a genius idea created by 2 Bozeman entrepreneurs. The purpose of the cafe is to give people a chance to have more one on one time with potential adoption options.
According to KBZK in Bozeman
Owners Josh Marks and Josh Pecukonis are working with the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter to help some of their cats find "fur-ever" homes.
Cat lovers can buy food or a beverage at the Foxtrot downstairs and head to the lounge for some feline company.
There will be anywhere between 3-4 cats at the café at a time, and strict social distancing and safety precautions are being taken during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Catshow Cafe is the first of its kind in the state and the owners say the space allows for unique interaction in a comfortable environment for both people and cats.
Granted, there are many breweries and coffee shops in Missoula that have heir resident feline lounging. But, this would be a great idea for Missoula and the Humane Society. As the Cat Show in Bozeman focuses on older cats and their chance of finding a suitable home.
