New Paul Walker Car Crash Details Emerge [VIDEO]
Paul Walker died in a single-car accident yesterday (Nov. 30), and new details about the grisly scene have emerged, including the identity of the second fatality.
The Porsche Carrera GT was driven by Walker's close friend, race car driver Roger Rodas. The pair became pals at the Pirelli World Series years ago.
It's unclear what caused Rodas to lose control of the vehicle, but Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station Sgt. Brian Allen revealed to Hometown Station, "We just know that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed. Between the skid marks and the damage to the vehicle, it appears as though the vehicle was traveling at a very significant rate of speed."
Bystanders tried putting out the fire with small extinguishers that were on hand, but Allen cringed, "With a fire like that, that's just not going to happen. The heat is just too much."
Our thoughts remain with Walker and Rodas' family and loved ones during this difficult time.
