Soundgarden's first new song in 15 years, "Live to Rise," will be featured on Avengers Assemble, a 14-track compilation of music from and inspired by the upcoming film The Avengers. The album, which also features cuts from Shinedown, Five Finger Death Punch, Rise Against, Papa Roach and Theory of a Deadman, will be released on May 1st

If you ever stayed awake all night wondering what Limp Bizkit and Slipknot might sound like mashed together, we'd say you can get some sleep as your prayers have been answered. Bizkit frontman Fred Durst and Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson have started collaborating on an EP. Wilson tells NME that they met up on a tour of Australia and that "I don't want to say too much, but it's definitely part of this new, dirtier approach to music making I'm doing right now. It's great to work with Fred -- he understands the harder edge of the world that I'm into."
