November is National Native American Heritage Month, and to celebrate, The Roxy is putting the spotlight on cinema created by and starring indigenous people every Wednesday for the month.

Here's what they say about it on their website:

The Roxy Theater, in partnership with Nl?ay Indigenous Film Festival, is proud to present Indigenous Cinema, a weekly series in November highlighting indigenous stories in honor of National Native American Heritage Month.

Throughout the month we will be hosting a program of short films from Art House Convergence and Sundance Institute's Indigenous Program alongside our feature film program. 1-2 short films will shown prior to each feature film, and a panel discussion will follow all screenings.

Here's the schedule for the films being screened throughout the month:

Nov. 6 - Words From A Bear

Nov. 13 - Falls Around Her

Nov. 20 - Edge of the Knife

Nov. 27 - Tia and Piujuq

Each film is sponsored by Humanities Montana. This seems like a great way to highlight some films that might not get a ton of publicity otherwise, and to give some love to some great Native American artists. Will you be stopping by at least one of these films?
