The Missoula Paddleheads announced that the show would go on for this year's Independence Day celebration at Ogren Park, and now they've released the schedule for this Friday, July 3rd. This show is always a spectacular display, it's personally my favorite fireworks show in Missoula, but as expected, it will be a bit of a different experience this year due to COVID-19 precautions.

The fun gets started with Happy Hour at 6 p.m. with $4 draft beer and $3 tater tots, followed by a showing of 'Shrek' on the big screen at 8 p.m. The fireworks display will happen after the movie.

Organizers are being very mindful of social distancing guidelines, as they have been during their Thursday night movie screenings. This includes social distancing and crowd control measures, one-way concourse walkways, cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing practices, PPE guidelines, and wellness and symptom checks for all staff. You are highly encouraged to wear a mask if you attend festivities on Friday.

“Each summer, for the last twenty seasons of professional baseball in Missoula, thousands of fans have made baseball and fireworks a part of their annual Independence Day Celebration.” said PaddleHeads’ Director of Marketing Taylor Rush. “Although we can’t bring you baseball this summer, our staff is thrilled to have the opportunity to carry on this Missoula summer staple.”

There are 5 ticket options to choose from and you can purchase now online.

$100 – on-field 10’x10’ social distanced pods for up to four people
