It seems like every year decorating for holidays happens earlier and earlier. For example, Valentine's Day decorations start going up the day after Christmas. Thanksgiving Decorations appear the day after Halloween. And Santa and reindeer always tend to start appearing in people's yards starting as early as November 1st.

If you are excited about Halloween, it looks like it is coming early to western Montana. One of Montana's largest Halloween attractions is opening up over a month in advance of the holiday.

The Field of Screams in the Bitterroot Valley has been "creepin it real for 24 years." They are set to launch their annual haunted attraction on the first day of Fall. A full 40 days before Halloween. Giving you ample time and plenty of opportunities to explore their 10 acres of horror.

According to the official Field of Screams website

When it comes to thrills, chills and non-stop action that will leave you begging for the end to be near, Field of ScreamsMT delivers year after year with true horror. Prepare yourself for the most disturbing, the most heart-pounding, and the most intense haunt of your life! Our haunted attraction is designed with the thrill seeker in mind.

Not only do they have spooky haunted attractions, but they also offer daytime attractions for the younger more easily frightened ones. Plus, they are also offering up some great mini escape rooms.

Field of Screams will be open from September 22nd through November 4th 2023.

Hours of Operation:

  • Wednesday and Thursdays 7 pm to 9pm
  • Fridays and Saturday's 7 pm to 10 pm

Daytime attractions will be available Fridays 4 pm to 6 pm and Saturdays 1 pm to 6 pm (thru 10/28)

Monday's will be designated as ZOMBIE-FREE nights from October 9th through October 30th. Zombie-free nights give you an opportunity to experience the Field of Screams main attraction in full show lighting and sound without the jump scares, or actors. This event is specially tailored for families and the Halloween-loving scaredy cats.

Tickets are available in advance and run from $25 for General Admission to $59 for VIP Instant Access. Get your tickets here.
