Ozzy Osbourne, Slash and More Appear in ‘Sunset Strip’ Documentary
Hollywood’s Sunset Strip is one of the most iconic regions for musical creativity in rock history, and a new film about the famous boulevard features Ozzy Osbourne, Slash, Tommy Lee, Courtney Love and Alice Cooper, just to name a few.
‘Sunset Strip‘ has recently been accepted into the 2012 SXSW Film Festival. The creators of the film have offered a breathtaking and in-depth look into the Sunset Strip that will leave you eager to experience the film yourself.
“Birthed as a dusty trading route at the turn of last century, Sunset Strip became the world’s center of gravity for music, glamour, fashion, sex, and decadence,” write the ‘Sunset Strip’ filmmakers. “This curvy, mile-and-a-half strip of road falls just outside L.A. city limits, beyond the reach of LAPD, where it grew into a place like no other on the planet. A place where dreams are started, chased, loved, hated, displayed, ignored, ended, or all of the above. You make your last stand in Eden, and this is Eden.”
Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan offered his outlook on the legendary strip. “I believe in sacred places and I believe that this is,” says Corgan. “It’s a sacred place.”
‘Sunset Strip’ is set to premiere Friday, March 16, at the SXSW Film Festival.
