Missoula's wonderful Jeannette Rankin Peace Center will host a Peace Luminary in Caras Park this New Year's Eve.

2020 has not been the year many of us expected. Most of us are past ready to say goodbye and look toward 2021. Join us on December 31st as we say goodbye, reflect, hold hope, and make wishes for the new year.

Stop by Caras Park any time between 4 p.m. and midnight on December 31st to light a luminary and add it to Missoula's peace sign in the park. They do ask that folks wear masks and maintain physical distance while creating and placing your luminary. For those planning ahead, they will have bags available for you to pick up at the Peace Center, 519 South Higgins, starting on December 26th if you would like to decorate your bag before the big night.
They could use some volunteers, if you're interested, please call 543-3955 or send them a message on Facebook.
Other fun stuff to do on NYE in Missoula includes First Night Spotlight, which is typically part of the First Night Missoula celebration, but you know, pandemic, so it's virtual this year. Get more info and how to watch here.
The MCT will still be offering their streaming performance of Elf The Music for just $5 on New Year's Eve, more info here.
There will also be holiday ice skating at Glacier Ice Rink, and a party at Westside Lanes. However you decide to ring in the New Year, be safe, be kind, and keep our radio stations on for the best soundtracks to ring in 2021!
