The merch line was a long one at the recent Pearl Jam performance at Washington/Grizzly Stadium. The band created a ton of Missoula-specific merchandise to kick off the 3rd leg of their "Dark Matter Tour."

The merchandise stands opened the day prior to the show. That way the diehard fans could get first pick of the limited edition Missoula gear. We went to check it out this past Wednesday and found ourselves in a line that would make the DMV cry—two hours of standing finally got us to the checkout.

I noticed an array of Missoula/Pearl Jam branded merchandise. Everything from maroon shirts resembling Griz gear. Socks colored copper and gold. Hats with rainbow trout and a PEARL JAM headline. Or how about the Jon Tester poster that was made specifically for the show?

One piece of merch generated a ton of controversy before the show. Fans who bought the shirt noticed the set list was printed on the back. For some, this could be considered a major spoiler for the concert. Some people enjoy the surprise of what the band may play next.

The actual set played at WA/GRIZ was similar to what the shirt foretold, but it was not identical. Leaving plenty of surprises for fans to enjoy.
