The summer sun really has a way of bringing out a thirst for MEAD. Especially when you are dressed from head to toe in heavy body armor. Not, to mention your horse is not a fan of your jousting ability. Your page is exhausted from lugging around your broadsword. But, it is all fun and games in medieval combat.

Kalispell has been the home of the annual Montana Renaissance Faire for a few years now. Featuring two full weekends of Medieval fun in the hot summer sun. The fair included everything you could think of, from knights to fairies. Plus, who doesn't like chowing down on giant turkey legs and drinking a mug full of mead?

Unfortunately, the promoters of the event have recently announced that this year's event will be postponed.

According to their announcement on Facebook

We’re looking for a more scenic atmosphere for the Faire and we felt it was best to postpone the event. We know our fans would be disappointed however this was the best decision for the time being. We appreciate all of you and look forward to 2024.

We can only hope that when the event returns in 2024, it will be bigger and better than ever. As this event has already gained attention from people all over the world as one of the best Renaissance Faires.

Our friend Lee Plummer at NW Living and Life, was gracious enough to share with us some outstanding photos from the 1st annual event. Feast your eyes on some spectacular shots of medieval combat as well as awesome costumes.
