Place your bets folks, the Ravens will win the Super Bowl. You might think it’s crazy to take a camel’s word for it, but this camel has a pretty impressive record when it comes to predicting Super Bowl winners. This camel is 6 and 1 at picking the winner for the biggest game in football over the past seven years.

Princess is a 26-year old Bactrian camel that lives at Popcorn Park Zoo in Lacey Township, New Jersey. She predicts the big winner by choosing between two hands. Each hand has one team’s name written on the inside. Then the hand is filled with graham crackers and made into a fist. Like magic, she manages to pick the winner.

What do you think about this? Should you really take advice from a camel? I say, why not? We take advice from a groundhog about the length of our winters. So, why not take the word of a camel? Plus, she has a pretty darn good track record.

People have used stranger methods to try to predict who is going to win a game. People use superstitions, statistics, gut feelings, algorithms and just plain praying to the good Lord above that your team pulls it out in the end. So, why not Princess?

Of all the methods you could use this year to try to predict the Super Bowl champs, I’d say that Princess is as sure a bet as any.
