The Backwoods Project is proud to announce "Ride Montana", their first event of the 2011 season. This event will be held January 22nd and 23rd, at the Marshall Mountain base area. This will feature the only public terrain park in Missoula County, as well an open Rail Jam and invitational Best Trick Contest.  It will cost only $10 to ride, plus $5 to compete in the Rail Jam.  The Backwoods Project is a Missoula non-profit, created to get the Missoula community out on the snow by providing the modern freestyle terrain that is currently unavailable to the public in Missoula. Check out their website at www.thebackwoodsproject.org.
This event will be followed by a benefit concert/event afterparty to be held at Harry Davids on Saturday January 22nd. The show will be hosted by Demonlily Entertainment and will feature Universal Choke Sign, Blessiddoom & Six Days Under.  We will be raising funds to benefit The Backwoods Project in their quest to cover the insurance costs to provide this opportunity to Missoula. There is a $5 suggested donation at the door for the afterparty but feel free to give what you can - we are doing this to benefit Missoula, and a lot of kids that cannot otherwise afford a weekend on the slopes.  So come out and help us raise some cash and throw down with some of the best metal in Missoula.  The afterparty/benefit is 21+ but the Ride Montana Event at Marshall Mountain is all ages!!
