Roof Actually Breaks While Limp Bizkit Perform ‘Break Stuff,’ Wes Borland Gets Doused With Water
Though Limp Bizkit’s destruction anthem “Break Stuff” is nearly 20 years old, it apparently still has the ability to actually make stuff break. During the band’s Aug. 12 set in Winchester, England, the roof of Matterley Estate, where the band was performing, caved in, dumping water all over guitarist Wes Borland’s pedalboard during "Break Stuff." Watch the video above.
“Aww, shit!” laughed Fred Durst. “The pedalboard is gonna go out right now.”
Limp Bizkit actually managed to finish “Break Stuff” before Borland’s rig completely crapped out, ending the band’s set one song early. “Unfortunately, the guitar rig just blew up,” said Durst. “On that note, I’d like to say how grateful I am, because tonight, genuinely, was fucking incredible. Thank you so much.”
Borland posted a photo of the damage done on Instagram. “This is what a pedalboard looks like when it rains all day and the ceiling of the stage you're playing breaks open and a jacuzzi amount of water gets dumped on top of you on the second to last song of your set.”
Thankfully, Borland was able to get his gear fixed in time to keep touring:
