Growing up during the height of the cable-television era, I found myself watching a lot of Nickelodeon. I vividly remember watching a show about a young girl and her crazy antics called "Clarissa Explains it All." The show starred Melissa Joan Hart. Shortly after that show ended, Melissa Joan Hart landed a role in a new series, a show that was based on an old "Archie" comic. That show was called "Sabrina the Teenage Witch." This hit show lasted 7 seasons and made Melissa Joan Hart a household name.

Well, now it appears that Melissa has grown up, and created her very own Christmas movie, a movie inspired by her cousin, who visited a dude ranch in Montana and fell in love. Melissa wanted to take her cousin's story and transform it into a holiday film. That is how the new Lifetime Christmas movie "Mistletoe in Montana," was created.

According to mylifetime.com

Merry (Melissa Joan Hart), who owns the ranch has been unlucky in love, but that’s about to change when a single father, Mark (Duane Henry), and his two kids book the ranch for Christmas week. Adventure is on the menu, the holiday spirit is everywhere, and love is in the air.

The movie was filmed entirely in Helena this past summer. As extras from around Capitol City bundled up in winter clothing to film in the blistering summer heat. It was literally Christmas in July in much of Helena and around Canyon Ferry.

The new movie premieres TONIGHT (12/17) on Lifetime. at 6 pm. It will re-air at 10 pm. You can also catch it at 4 pm Wednesday (12/23) or 8 pm on Christmas Day.
