For a musician, there may be no greater sense of pride than to see their kids take the stage. Anthrax's Scott Ian and his wife, singer Pearl Aday, had a chance to see that happen this past weekend at the Bourbon & Beyond Festival when their young son, Revel Young Ian, played "Everlong" with the Foo Fighters.

Dave Grohl invited "one of my favorite guitarists of all-time" to the stage, as the young musician walked out. As he was getting set up, Grohl then had a little fun asking his "guitar tech Armando," aka Ian, walk out onstage.

Ceding the opening notes, Grohl had Revel start the performance of "Everlong" with its familiar guitar part before the rest of the band joined in. As the young musician continued, Grohl walked over to jam their guitars together, and Revel joined the group in their final bow while helping Chris Shiflett toss guitar picks to the crowd before returning to side stage with his proud papa.

"There goes my hero," beamed Ian in an Instagram post. "Proudest dad moment ever? How about when your son gets to join his favorite band on stage to play Everlong in front of 40,000 people and NAILS IT! Thank you Dave, Taylor, Pat, Nate, Chris, Rami, Gus, Kerwin, Sean, Patrick, Simone and everyone else on the Foo crew for being the best!!! @foofighters @gusbrandt @pearlcaliforniacountry @bourbonandbeyond."
