Slash Gets a Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Congrats to Slash. The legendary rocker just received the 2,473rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Slash and a few of his celebrity friends were on hand to celebrate the occasion Tuesday (July 10) in Hollywood. The ceremony took place in from of the Hard Rock Café on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, where Charlie Sheen served as Master of Ceremonies and film director Robert Evans and radio icon Jim Ladd also spoke. Also in attendance were Slash’s former Guns N’ Roses bandmates Steven Adler and Gilby Clarke, as well as Slash’s wife Perla and their children London and Cash.
TMZ reports that Sheen, who has been one of Slash’s neighbors and remains a longtime pal, joked, “It’s quite fitting that Slash is getting a star on the very street Axl Rose will one day be sleeping on … This star is going to be stepped on more than the coke we did in the ’80s.”
After the ceremony, Slash joined his bandmate Myles Kennedy for an acoustic performance and question-and-answer session with fans. Slash released his ‘Apocalyptic Love‘ album with Kennedy on vocals back in late May.
