Is This Slayer Video Teasing Their Last Shows Ever?
Slayer have posted a cryptic video on Twitter, suggesting that the end of their ongoing farewell tour is nigh. A caption on the video simply states, "Coming Fall 2019."
The clip shows a silhouetted figure digging a hole in the earth, later planting a wooden crucifix in it as a gravelly-voiced narrator foreshadows an end. "To every story there is a tragedy," he begins. "Life is a book filled with chapters. Some tell stories of a good times, some tell stories of the dark. To every monster, there is a hero. To every nightmare we all wake up. To every story, there is a final chapter. Some monsters can become human. Other monsters reap for revenge. This is the end of the monsters."

Some recent festival lineups have billed Slayer's performances as the last ever in certain countries and cities, making the inevitable known.
At this time, Slayer have a number of festival appearances booked out through the summer and into October and they recently wrapped up their third North American farewell leg.
