Monday morning began with a bang for many Bonner residents who called 911 reporting an explosion at around 4:45 a.m. Missoula Rural Fire District Captain Blaine Cowan says the explosion most likely came from a house fire.

NBC Montana confirmed Friday that the superintendent of the Bonner School District, east of Missoula, has been placed on leave after he was charged with partner family member assault.

A 30 year-old man was seriously injured after being struck by a train in the Bonner-Milltown area on Thursday afternoon.

"Home of the Lumberjacks" Bonner School will be holding a fundraiser for their 8th graders in September.
