That's right, we have two shows this week, and they are both tonight! My goal is to hit both shows. Who's with me?

These Missoula metal scene veterans are not only hard core on the stage, but know how to have a good time away from the show as well. After the recent departure of bassist William Sludge, they are auditioning as of now for a replacement...

Last minute local shows update! I just found out this is happening tomorrow... so heads up! All three of these bands are Montana formed so go show some support! I'll see you there!

Little Giants were on an extended hiatus but have not quite called it quits. The Holidays have brought all the band members back to the Missoula area and they are playing a show for you the Friday after Christmas!

Another week, another great list of shows! I want to say a big thank you to AJ "Juice Box" for filling in for me on local 406 while I was Northward playing with my stick (hockey, get your mind outta the gutter!). So, here is what we have lined up for this week:

I was surprised at the amount of local shows that happened last week that I didn’t know about until a day before or even a few hours before they started.  I am going to have to figure out a better system for my local band stalking. It’s always good to come home and pick up exactly where I left off... I love that I can go out and see awesome bands playing at my Missoula bars.  I took a chance at coming in for my first day back at the Blaze exhausted/ hung over/ completely rocked out from going to a Sunday night metal show...

This weekend on Local 406, our hour long local music showcase that you can hear each Sunday at 5pm, you can hear Walking Corpse Syndrome, Thee Infernals from Kalispell, Universal Choke Sign, Blessiddoom & more. As usual, you can get your band on the show by emailing AJ, he's filling in until JC comes home from Afghanistan. Or if you have a show coming up, let us know so we can spread the word.

The Fail Safe Project have gotten the break they have been looking for. After a couple years grinding it out on the road, our homies from Spokane have signed to Eclipse Records and are in the process of recording their debut album.

Tune into Local 406 on 96.3 The Blaze this Sunday, Nov. 17, to get exclusive information about High Voltage’s upcoming release of their newest studio album, “Colors.” Guitarist and band founder, Josh Rhines, will sit in with me this weekend to shoot the crap and introduce a few newly recorded tracks...

Tonight, make sure you're down at the VFW for this one! Seattle's The Spittin' Cobras are hittin' up Missoula playing with locals P.D. Lear and Bird's Mile Home.  If you like dirty rock and roll with some screaming vocals right after getting some of that local Missoula music running through your ear holes go downtown to the VFW at 10pm tonight...
