During a recent lay over in Ireland, a businessman who was on his way to Israel saw 400 U.S. soldiers about to dig in to their brown bag cold lunches.

That's when he stepped in and asked their commander if he could buy them lunch. He was turned down, but then insisted, and that's when all 400 soldiers were granted $50 to spend on the hot lunch of their choice. The total bill was $20,000, which the man happily paid.
