Mathew Kiicii (Chaos) Heafy, Trivium frontman, took time out of his busy tour schedule to sit down with Shawn from the Rockstar Radio Show to talk mental health, and moshed potatoes for Missoula Thanksgiving.

Sup.  Shawn here from the Rockstar Radio Show. Anytime Trivium comes up in conversation, I'm always like "dude, you wanna know who the nicest guy in Metal is? Matt frickin Heafy". I've been so blessed in my 20+ years in this industry to interview all my heroes. I mean, I've interviewed everyone. I have to say this is probably the best sit-down in my career.

Matt was running late, and we barely connected over Zoom. By that time, I just threw out any questions I prepared, and we just chopped it up like old friends.

You see, Matt has been dealing with mental health/anxiety problems just like all of us, and he has made it a point to share his story and the things that have helped him, because that's what a metal friend does. I was so honored to learn where the inspiration came from for the new Struck Dead E.P.

Matt also freakin LOVES Missoula and 96.3 The Blaze. Sincerely. I mean, all bands do, but he told me once that if he could convince his family to move here, he would.

I know it's a long interview, but I really want you to listen. If you are struggling with mental health problems, or you're just a massive Trivium fan, this one is for you.

Trivium is bringing the MOSHED POTATOES to the Wilma on Thanksgiving Eve.  Tickets are available HERE, or hit up the Wilma ticket window the day of the show. Make sure your shoes are tied tight. It's going to be that kind of show.

One love.
