The Bitterroot’s Skalkaho Falls – by Moonlight
The photo initially looks like a daytime photo of Skalkaho Falls, southeast of Hamilton, near Skalkaho Pass. But it's not.
Look at the sky above the water.
Stars.
This photo was a time exposure in the moonlight this past weekend at the end of September.
Mike Daniels had been successful last week with a clear sky to catch some Northern Lights and decided the three-quarter-full moon would be enough to see the picturesque waterfall at night.
It worked. And he's happy to show it off.
