The Most Montana Thing on 406 Day: Easter Bunny Riding a Unicorn
HOORAY FOR 406 DAY! The unofficial holiday when we celebrate everything Montana. From the windy flat country to the east, to the mountain peaks to the west. Montana is a great state to live in. But, what makes Montana truly special isn't the beautiful scenery, outdoor recreation, or abundance of resources. It is the people that make Montana great.
Montana Day always tends to fall around Easter each year. Spring is in the air, flowers are beginning to bloom and nature is waking up. Even though the weather can still be a little temperamental. It is still a great time to get out and enjoy Montana to its fullest. What better time to mount your trusty unicorn and deliver Easter eggs to kids in a small Montana town?
That is exactly what happened recently in Absarokee, MT. (Located on the Stillwater river between Columbus and Red Lodge)
Sharon Cavender and her friend took time to dress up as easter bunnies. As well as giving their horses a makeover. Transforming "TINK" and "CASPER" into unicorns. Their goal was to ride into town and deliver happiness to their community's kids, one easter egg treat at a time.
