The Offspring Will Release New Album in Early 2020
The Offspring will finally release their new studio album in early 2020. The band’s long-awaited 10th studio album will be their first since 2012’s Days Go By.
Following an attempted 2019 release, Offspring guitarist Noodles recently confirmed the new record will appear quickly in the next decade. "The artwork needs to be done and we have a rough track listing," Noodles told Halifax Today. "We've even gone and done more music since. We just need a distribution deal, and we want that done by the end of the year. Then we can release early next year."
The Offspring once again worked with producer Bob Rock, who helmed the board for the band’s last two albums, Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace and Days Go By.
"We hit it off with him immediately. It's been a real comfortable relationship. He makes us work and he makes us try harder to be as best as we can, but he does it in a way that's cool — he's not being a dick about it,” Noodles told Kaaos TV. “He makes us feel like we can do it. Rather than making us feel like, 'Oh, man, we're not playing good enough,' or whatever, or, 'We're not coming up with the best parts for this,' he makes us feel like we've got more in us and we can bring more to the table. So it's great working with Bob. We love that guy." [via Blabbermouth]
Since Days Go By, the punk rock legends have released a handful of new songs, including “Coming for You” in 2015 and “It Won’t Get Better” in 2018. They even recorded the theme for Sharknado - The 4th Awakens in 2016.
The Offspring are currently on a co-headlining tour with Sum 41. For those tour dates, click here.
