The Primus Concert Scheduled for Missoula is a GO at Full Capacity

Logjam and Primus have confirmed that the rescheduled tribute to Rush on August 11th is still happening. At this point in the game, a lot of tours are being pushed to 2022, but this Missoula show will go on as planned, with full capacity allowed.

You can always expect a different show from Primus, and the theme this time around is "A Tribute to Kings." This special show will feature Primus performing Rush's entire classic album 'A Farewell to Kings.' In the Before Time, we saw Primus open for Slayer in Spokane and during one Rush cover, Les Claypool referred to Geddy Lee as his "lord and savior," so yeah, they're fans. Les even performed at Rush's Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony and gave a glorious speech about Rush, see below. Primus will be playing some of their original tunes as well, and you can always count on some killer visuals and general weirdness.

The show is Wednesday, August 11th at the KettleHouse Amphitheater with openers Wolfmother and Battles. During the pandemic a lot of fans opted for refunds, which means tickets are available for this show, $35 for lawn, $45 for seating and pit access.

Since the original show was announced, Rush, and the world, lost an incredible drummer and human, the legendary Neal Peart. I imagine there will be a tribute during the Missoula show. So brush up on your Rush, if you need to, and get ready for "A Tribute to Kings," because this will be the first post-pandemic show for many of us and it's sure to be a sing-along of sorts.
