The Texas Chupacabra Has Been Euthanized

Remember the hairless bear that everyone labeled as the chupacabra?  Someone found a smaller one and this one is definitely not a bear. An animal was found by an older couple in Ratcliffe, TX who believed that it is a chupacabra. Officials think it may have been some sort of canine or raccoon with a severe case of mange. According to Huffington Post, soon after the animal was turned over to a shelter, "Chupie" was put down due to a scabies infection. The man that trapped the animal plans to have it mounted by a taxidermist and sell it on the Internet. The shelter responsible for the euthanization has been under some heat even after the scabies discovery.  It makes me wonder how much someone is willing to pay for a mangy, scabies ridden raccoon...
