You know how some people would scroll Facebook Marketplace in search of a cheap kayak or a used chainsaw? Not me. I scroll in search of this kind of gold.

Right now, in Lakeside, Montana, there is someone who is selling a 1972 GMC Sprint, which they so proudly refer to as a “Shaggin’ Wagon.” That’s not just what I call it. That’s the real title in the listing, so you already know that this seller is a legend.

Not just any "Shaggin Wagon," I’m talking side pipes, wood panel touches, and a freshly rebuilt 350 motor with less than 1,000 miles on it. It has a 4-speed Muncie transmission and Hurst shifter, so it doesn’t just look loud, it is loud! The kind of vehicle whose approach you can hear, even if you can’t see it yet.

This thing oozes 70s charm. It appears to smell of Brut and shag carpet. It most definitely needs its own disco ball and a story about “that one night skinny dipping in Polson Bay,”

There’s no frilly write-up. The seller understands the value of what they’re offering. The images exhibit a rig with some miles on it and maybe a few more to go. Whether you’re a collector or you just want to make the HOA give you the evil eye when you roll down the street, this shaggin’ wagon needs to be yours.

So if you’re cruising anywhere near the Flathead, and hear a distant “We’re an American Band” in the breeze. Just relax. It is just the Shaggin Wagon in its natural habitat.
