Tommy Lee Reacts to Kids React to Motley Crue in New Video
The React series has been a favorite of ours for a while, showcasing real time reactions to music from children, teenagers and the elderly. A month ago, the series posted an edition of the series featuring kids reacting to the music of Motley Crue. It was a pretty funny video, kids seeing just how crazy the group was in their prime from the music to the haircuts. Now, the series has posted a follow up to it, showing none other than Tommy Lee reacting to kids reacting to Motley Crue, resulting in the ultimate react-ception.
Throughout most of the video, Lee is pretty amused by the kids' reaction to their classic music videos. On one of the kids saying, "I'm confused, is it a boy or a girl?" Lee starts cracking up, saying, "The story of our lives." When an older kid calls them a "rip off KISS," Lee scoffs, calling him a "hipster in training" jokingly. He's super impressed by all their reactions, saying they don't seem like kids and have incredibly mature reactions for their ages.
He clarifies that the band is definitely not wearing wigs, in response to a reaction. Upon seeing Lee's crazy rotating drumset and the kids' amazement at it, he's clearly overjoyed by their reaction. He goes on to say, "There's nothing cooler than playing a show, and seeing these aged kids on their dads' shoulders, doing this [gives horns]." At the end of the video, he's clearly impressed by the array of responses to the band's music. It's clear he loves the response of young kids who weren't born when the music originally came out still connecting to their sounds.
When asked whether or not Motley Crue would still elicit the reaction if they started today today that they did back in the '80s, Lee supposes they would still make an impact given how stale rock music has become in recent years. Tommy Lee is extremely grateful and blown away in his reaction.
In the past, the React series has brought a great variety of videos to the table, including kids reacting to Nirvana, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Queen, Iron Maiden and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
