Tool’s Adam Jones’ Home Spared in California Wildfire
Tool guitarist Adam Jones has revealed that his home has been spared by the massive wildfire in Southern California. He took to Instagram to share aerial news footage from local station KTLA of his Malibu neighborhood, which is still standing.
Jones captioned the post: “KTLA Helicopter footage of Malibu as of this morning. Korin & I were overjoyed to see that our home & property had indeed been saved. My neighbors said the fires ran behind from the highway to the ocean during Friday night & FD Ground & Air kicked total ass. Thank you. Many homes on the opposite side of the highway are damaged or gone. We are TRULY lucky.”
Over the weekend Jones took to social media to post a haunting photo of the smoke billowing over Malibu reporting that he and his family were among the 170,000 Los Angeles county residents forced to evacuate. He wrote, “This is crazy & heartbreaking. God bless all those affected by these horrific wildfires.” Jones added that his family was “safe & sound.”
Many celebrities and artists have lost their homes to the Woosley Fire in Southern California. Neil Young, Fred Durst, Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke and actor Gerard Butler are among those who lost their homes.
We previously reported that Flea's home was under siege, but is still standing. He took to Instagram and wrote: "My house might have burned down down last night were it not for my friend Eric, who defied the evacuation orders and stayed up all through the night armed with his wits and a garden hose, and put out all the little fires at my house and my neighbors, saving our asses. He is a brave and beautiful, a selfless and kind man."
According to CNN, the Woosley Fire has torched over 93,000 acres and has destroyed over 435 structures in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. There are over 100 people missing and 44 deaths reported from the multiple wildfires around the state.
