Trump’s Education Secretary Feels We Should Have Guns in Schools to Protect Students from Grizzly Bears
We have seen far to much gun violence, in America, over the past 10 years. The number of school shootings has skyrocketed since Columbine. The argument about how to prevent school shootings has ranged from hiring war veterans to guard school grounds, to even arming teachers with guns.
Donald Trump's Secretary of Education nominee, Betsy Devos, was recently set in front of Congress to explain why she is the person for the job. She was asked about the gun debate, and Betsy used something we are all familiar with as an example to why. The answer was "to protect students from grizzly bears." Which is strange to us in grizzly country, let alone a bizarre example to the rest of America.
Regardless of her ridiculous example, do you feel we should allow guns in schools?
