While there aren’t many errands that Walmart has not found ways to remove from our lives, their latest attempt seems to include pizza night.

Need groceries? They’ll bring them. Need dog food? That’s delivered too. Forgot toilet paper? That will be delivered as well.

It appears they now also wish to take care of pizza night for you.

Walmart announced plans to team up with Papa John's to start using Walmart Express Delivery to provide pizza delivery. This essentially allows you to order a pepperoni pizza along with milk, paper towels, and any number of random items you forgot you had.

Walmart Is Now Delivering Papa John's Pizza

Last week, Papa John's announced that the two companies would enter into a partnership that makes Papa John's the first national restaurant chain available on Walmart’s delivery platform.

You will find Papa John’s listed under the Restaurant tab in the Walmart application or website. From here, you can place an individual order for pizza, wings, sandwiches, side dishes, and dessert, or add these to your existing Walmart shopping list and receive everything in one delivery.

This is where things become interesting. Can you imagine placing an order for a pizza, a large case of Mountain Dew, some ibuprofen, and a new fishing lure in one order? This sounds like a Montana care package.

Are We Getting It In Montana?

Delivery services for Papa John’s will be launched in select areas this Fall prior to being rolled out across the U.S. at thousands of participating Papa John’s locations. So do not go ahead and open your Walmart app today anticipating a Works pizza to show up at your doorstep. Your local availability will depend upon your address for delivery and which Papa John’s locations participate in the program. But, since there are several communities in Montana that currently rely almost completely on Walmart, once this is implemented, it may be really convenient.

Walmart is becoming a Food Delivery App

Additionally, this is not the first time that Walmart has attempted to use its store network to offer restaurant delivery services. With the launch of Subway earlier this year, it appears the ultimate goal is to simply allow us to shop online without ever leaving the house.

I'm not sure whether that's progress or the opening scene of WALL-E.

Either way, if Walmart can eventually deliver pizza and fishing tackle to my door at the same time, I'm willing to hear them out.
