The "Super Mario Brothers Movie" has been raking in the cash over the last few weeks. In fact, it is rumored to make nearly $1 billion at the box office worldwide. If it does, something tells me we are going to be seeing a lot more video game film adaptations.

It turns out there is another old-school video game that has recently gotten a film adaptation... Well, kind of.

Do you remember playing "Oregon Trail?" I can remember the giant floppy disc that the teacher handed out to us at the beginning of our computer lab. I remember that I never bought enough supplies in the beginning and found myself slaughtering every squirrel, rabbit, and bison that darted across the pixelated screen. "You shot 9,000 pounds of meat... You can only carry 4 pounds." And, no matter what I did to prevent it, one of my family members would die of yellow fever or dysentery.

Well, now it appears that "Oregon Trail" has inspired a new horror movie. A movie that takes place in Montana, back when many Americans migrated west. Back when death seemed to lurk at every turn. And people were not just dying from smallpox and starvation. A movie cleverly titled "Organ Trail."

According to Rotten Tomatoes

Abigale and her family fall victim to a gang of ruthless cowboys while making their way across the Oregon Trail. As the only survivor, she does whatever it takes to retrieve her family's horse from the clutches of the bloodthirsty bandits.

Did we mention that the film was also filmed near Livingston, MT? Plus, it is directed by the same guy that brought you "Reno 911." Whether you a fan of Westerns, horror films, or the classic video game, this movie looks like it is going to be fun.

"Organ Trail" is in select theaters now. But, will be streaming on May 12th
