Let me tell you a little story about a man name Jed. A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed. Then one day he was shootin at some food and up through the ground came a bubblin crude. Oil that is.
Many of us know somebody, or knows somebody who knows somebody, who makes the drive from beautiful Western Montana to the wind swept part of eastern North Dakota for work. The oil fields of Williston ND have created one of the largest job booms in our generation. We are talking bigger than the gold rushes of the 1800's. Many Montanans are making a years salary in just a few months doing what is considered to be one of the deadliest jobs on earth.
Just to give you an idea of how big the oil boom is, check out thwe picture taken from outer space. The oil rigs are spread out over a majority of the eastern part of NO DAK.
