If you’ve ever wondered what happens when a rock star and a TV cowboy hit the woods, Kid Rock and Cole Hauser have your answer: one giant whitetail buck. The duo recently teamed up in the Mississippi wilderness for a hunt that was equal parts action movie and buddy comedy. Imagine Kid Rock with his camo gear and big personality, cracking jokes louder than a buck snorting in the brush, while Cole Hauser channeled Rip Wheeler’s stone-cold focus. I would go hunting with those guys any day.

Montanans know that hunting is more than just a pastime; it’s a way of life. Here, it’s not uncommon to see hunters swapping stories at the local bar or planning their next hunt before the season even ends. That same spirit of tradition and camaraderie was alive and well in Mississippi with Kid and "Rip", reminding us all why we love the hunt—whether it’s on the Montana prairie, the Rocky Mountain ridges, or the deep Southern woods.

According to Whisky Riff

It’s no secret that Kid Rock, real name Bob Ritchie, is an avid hunter. The Michigan native, Tennessee resident, has shared photos of hunts over the years, including a Tennessee whitetail just a couple of weeks ago, and a somewhat controversial mountain lion hunt back in 2015. But more recently, he shared another beauty buck down in Mississippi, and this grip and grin featured a cameo appearance from Yellowstone’s own Cole Hauser, AKA Rip Wheeler.

We know that Montana is in Cole Hauser's blood. His Great Grandfather was once the Governor of the state. They even named a reservoir after him. Ever heard of Hauser Reservoir?
