Wife of Trooper Wade Palmer Releases Video Thanking Supporters
In the video, filmed for the attendees of the 301 Strong benefit dinner and auction on Saturday, Mrs. Palmer thanks the many people who have provided support for her husband and her family.
“We have been through a lot in the last month,” began Mrs. Palmer. “We have been uprooted from our home in Missoula to the University Of Utah Hospital. In the last couple of weeks, every day has brought some small improvement. Those of us who know Wade well can see his personality slowly reemerging from his actions. Wade has a long road to recovery, rehabilitation and more surgeries are in his future, and at this point there is much we still don’t understand. The path ahead will not be easy, but Wade is tough and he is a fighter.”
Mrs. Palmer shared this message with all who have helped.
“To community members, friends and family, thank you for showing me and my family kindness during this difficult time,” she said, fighting back tears. “I am deeply grateful for the kindness you have extended to us. Your selflessness has truly touched my heart. Never in a million years will ‘thank you’ be enough for the overwhelming gratitude me and my family feel. To the Blue Community at home, in Utah, across the country and abroad, thank you for being so encouraging, supportive and overwhelmingly generous. I have always been and will always be proud to be an LEO (Law Enforcement Officer) wife. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers.”
The 301 Strong event on Saturday night reportedly raised over $90,000 for Trooper Palmer's support.
