Will Montana See Taco John’s New Caffeinated Sauce?
Montanans have long had a love affair with Taco John’s. Sure, the chain began in Wyoming, but we’ve got the market cornered on Potato Olés, Taco Bravos, and late night decisions we know we’re going to regret, but know that it is worth it.
Now they’re cooking up something with more than just zing and spice. 5-Hour Energy and Taco John’s collaborated on a caffeinated Mango Habanero Hot Sauce. Yeah, you read that correctly! 200 milligrams of buzz are hidden within a sweet, spicy sauce.
The new sauce mixes the juicy mango flavor with a nice kick of habanero heat, and then stuns you with so much caffeine that you rethink every single choice you’ve ever made in a drive-thru.
You pick up a free bottle when you purchase a Spicy Cinco de Mango 5-Hour Energy shot, or receive it for free when you order the “No Siesta Fiesta” meal bundle, which comes with two softshell chicken tacos and a mound of Potato Olés.
The full rollout is happening in markets like Minneapolis and Kansas City, but there could soon be a small handful of Montana Taco John’s in on the promo. Supplies are super limited, so if you want to try a caffeinated Olé, you might want to act faster than you normally do.
In these parts, Taco John’s itself is already a classic. Just imagine taking a bite of your Meat and Potato Breakfast burrito, drenched in enough of the sauce to equal 4 cups of coffee. That will put a little lead in your pencil.
