Woman High On Meth Breaks Into Camera Store – Fights and Spits On Deputy
A Condon area woman, Kaylie Charlton, appeared in Missoula Justice Court on Wednesday, charged with felony burglary and assault on a peace officer after allegedly breaking into a photography store in Condon.
According to court documents, on August 15, Charlton was found to be in the Photography Formulary in Condon illegally, and had torn pictures off the walls and destroyed other property. She was ordered to leave the property. Her father called Deputy Bob Parcell and he went to their the woman's home. When Parcell and another deputy attempted to restrain her, Charlton inflicted a slight injury on one of the deputies, then spit in Parcell's face. She was also found to have a loaded handgun in her back pocket. She was transported to the Missoula County Jail.
Court documents also indicate that Charlton was impaired from using methamphetamine.
Deputy County Attorney Andrew Paul asked for $10,000 bail.
Judge Marie Anderson set bail at $5,000, and Charlton posted bond.
