As I've stated on a regular basis, I'm a huge WWE fan. I mean, I'm ultra-geek status about the stuff. Have been since I was a kid.

So when I heard that Adam Jones played the national anthem at last night's WWE Summerslam, I did not believe it. Usually, WWE is very good about bringing in some half-wit pop garbage to play their big pay-per-views. Sometimes they'll get Motorhead to play (YAY!) or maybe Limp Bizkit (meh...) but a guy from the enigmatic TOOL!? I'd call shenanigans.

Summerslam is the second-biggest WWE event of the year, next to WrestleMania. As such, WWE did it right, and Adam Jones shredded The Star Spangled Banner to the delight of thousands at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
