3rd Annual Bigfoot Conference in Hamilton

Bigfoot sightings are not isolated to just the Pacific Northwest. Sightings have been reported as far as the Appalachian mountains. Montana is no stranger to sightings of Sasquatch either. With our vast amounts of wilderness, a hairy ape has plenty of places to hide. This September fans of "squatchin" will gather in the Bitterroot Valley to discuss the latest in the legend of Bigfoot.

The third annual Big Sky Bigfoot Conference will be Friday, Sept. 22, and Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Bitterroot River Inn and Conference Center in Hamilton, MT.

This year's conference commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of the capture of the iconic Patterson-Gimlin Film footage with an emphasis on the history of bigfooting. The event offers a unique chance to meet and learn from some of the country’s foremost researchers. Film screenings, music, vendors, kids’ activities, exhibits, prize giveaways, and book signings will be ongoing throughout the conference. Conference proceeds will benefit Tom Yamarone, a Big Sky Bigfoot '16 guest speaker who suffered a stroke earlier this year.

The conference kicks off Friday evening, Sept. 22, at 6:30 p.m. with a movie screening and presentation by independent filmmaker Seth Breedlove and a witness town-hall meeting hosted by Montana researchers. Events continue Saturday, Sept. 23, with lectures beginning at 10 a.m. Tickets for the entire conference are $25 for adults and $15 for children and are available now at www.bigskybigfootconference.com.

Walk-in tickets will be available for Friday's events as space allows for $5 per person.
