Everyone seems to have the Anchorman craze! It's hard to think that the original Anchorman movie was released just under a decade ago, but fear not fans, the release of the sequel is only days away. 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' opens in theaters on December 18 and it looks like there is a lot of celebration:

  • Ben and Jerry's has a new flavor out to honor Ron Burgundy named "Scotchy, Scotch, Scotch." Grab a pint soon, it is a limited batch, and its a big deal.
  • It looks legit, but I've been burned before. Welcome to you liquor store shelf the Ron Burgundy blended scotch "Great Odin's Raven"
  • Emerson college in Boston renamed their school for 24 hours the Ron Burgundy School of Communication on Dec 4th and followed it up with Will Ferrell speaking to the students and introducing the new movie.
  • The Washington DC Newseum has "Anchorman: The Exhibit" open now until august so you can gaze upon the polyester suit and other movie props. On the educational side, you learn how a 1970's news room operated... and how hard it was... for women (oooh, snuck that one in there!)

Anchorman 2 opens on December 18 but until then, enjoy Ron Burgundy crashing a North Dakota news broadcast:
