FWP Archery Elk Change – Montana Outdoor Update

With the new special permit deadline sneaking up on us. I still cannot decide on where to put in for. I have thought over a couple possibilities and what I can afford to dedicate my time to. When you draw a good permit. It is more than just a casual hunt. It turns into a full time gig. You have to plan every detail to ensure your success. I have considered putting in for the Missouri River breaks over in eastern Montana. But that is a hunt of a lifetime and would require me to take more than a week off of work to truly make it happen. I have spent a little time in the break and know that it harbors some seriously large bulls.

For today's update we talk about the FWP making a last minute change on this years archery permit drawing that could help me in my decision whether to apply or not.
