Benjamin Franklin once said, "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." I believe that that saying also fits with the creation of bacon. Eating a piece of bacon sure does make me happy. I can enjoy bacon for nearly every meal.

I guess I have become quite the connoisseur over the years of bacon-loving. Which i why I can get pretty picky when it comes to picking the best bacon. I am the kind of bacon shopper who can spend 20 minutes inspecting each package of bacon to find the best fat-meat ratio.

There are some bacon brands that I tend to steer clear of. One brand in particular was recently named the "Worst Bacon Brand in America" according to a recent study from 24/7 Wall Street.

When it comes to bacon, shoppers typically have a decent variety of brands to choose from. 24/7 Wall Street scoured the internet to find the worst brands of bacon. Here's how they determined the worst bacon brand in America.

To compile this list, 24/7 Wall St. consulted seven different food websites, blogs, and vlogs. We also referenced customer reviews on retail store websites. Since bacon preference is highly subjective, we used an aggregate scoring system to rate the bacon brands that received the most negative ratings among our sources.

After all the data and reviews were gathered 24/7 Wall Street came up with the BIG LOSER when it comes to bacon sold in Montana.

According to the results of the study, the worst bacon brand in America is sold in just about every corner of Montana.

After a quick search online, you can clearly see that the Great Value brand of bacon is not all that great. One clear sign is when nearly 50% of all the reviews are 1-star rated.

When it comes to the best bacon in America, Montanans have it pretty good with our local brands. Daily's Bacon is one of the best-quality bacon brands in the country. Not to mention the Stampede Packing Company in Kalispell, who are the creators of the Redneck brand of bacon and ham.

All this talk of bacon is making me hungry!
