While our weekend COD and pizza binges are always a good time, it's also nice to have interactions with other humans sometimes. At least that's what we've heard. If you love video games and aren't paralyzingly agoraphobic, arcades are a good time. Sadly, we lose more of them every day, but this one in Colorado is alive and well, and worth the trip.

As far as we're concerned, the only thing better than an arcade is an arcade that serves alcohol, which is why we were stoked when the folks over at Arcade Sushi clued us in to this paradise in the Rockies. While whiskey never helps our game, drunk video games are really fun, especially old nostalgic ones. There's nothing like playing a few games of the TMNT arcade game to bring our childhood memories rushing back to us. Sorry, we'll stop being dark.

Located on Blake Street in downtown Denver, 1UP is a new addition to the city, opening its doors just over a year ago. Despite the newness, 1UP has already been touted as one of the best arcades in the US, and features over 45 classic arcade games, 15 pinball machines, Skee-Ball and oversized Jenga sets. We can't even play regular Jenga when we're hammered, so that sounds like a guaranteed blast.

Our favorite feature is the AC/DC pinball machine. No wait, our favorite feature is the 14 beers on tap, and the fact that they have bar food. No wait, our favorite is their prie structure -- .25 cents for arcade machines and .50 cents for pinball machines. Wait, what? This is clearly the arcade that inflation forgot -- might have something to do with the elevation. (That's what CO hippies always say about their red eyes.)
