The Hamilton Broncs football team outscored another Class A team this season by over 35 points. The Polson Pirates, missing their top quarterbacks to injury, lost to the Broncs in Hamilton Friday, September 14, by a 48 to 12 score. Most of the scoring came in the First quarter. Hamilton scored first in the game, but Polson came back on the very next play for a 6 pont score of their own. However, that was the only score until the last seconds of the game for the Pirates.

Hamilton kept scoring in the first and second quarters, leading to the "35-point Rule," where in Montana high school football, if one team leads by over 35 points, the game clock will keep running, except for official time-outs and injuries. The game was over by 9 p.m. Friday. Next week, Hamilton will host the Stevensville Yellowjackets at Haynes Field with a 7 p.m. kickoff. KLYQ will broadcast the game on the radio at 1240 AM, on your cellphone with the KLYQ app, online at klyq.com and on your home Smart Speaker with the KLYQ "skill."
