Today has been a tough day for me. Since hearing the news of a local youngster, Cash Hyde, loosing his battle with cancer late last night, I spent most of the day fighting the urge to breakdown, and I couldn't understand why. It is not like I was close to Cash or the Hyde family. I think that his story affected all of us and was a huge inspiration of strength.

As KGVO News reported Thursday morning, 4 year-old Cash Hyde passed away Wednesday night after a life-long battle with brain cancer.

The toddler from Missoula who created headlines with his courageous battle with brain cancer, Cash Hyde, has passed away. The Cash Hyde Foundation Facebook page reports the youngster passed away at his home in Missoula on Wednesday night.

According to HLN: Two years ago, little Cash Hyde was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. He endured bouts of chemotherapy that made him sick. He didn’t eat for 40 days, and was vomiting severely. As his parents watched helplessly, they
