The thunderstorms we have witnessed this weekend have brought some decent rain. But not enough to flood the streets. In years past, I have attempted to kayak Hillview. Back in 2002 I was living up near the top of Hillview and when a BIG storm would roll through, a guy could almost float down the street. In Russia, they take it to the next level and surf down the streets.

I didn't believe it when I saw it. But there is a collegiate Baseball team in Kansas with a very unique name. They are well known for being a championship team. In the last 50 years this member of the Jayhawk Conference under the National Baseball Congress has won 13 Conference titles and 5 nationals. But, for Baseball being a very "family friendly sport", they have a very strange name.
