Yeah, yeah, we know you just "can't even" with 2016 anymore and yes, it has been a grueling year for reasons everyone is already familiar with. Let's not pretend like everything that happened in music this year was all bad though because there certainly were some high moments and we're here to show you 8 Reasons Why 2016 Didn't Suck THAT Much!

First off, let's take a look at the unlikely reunions that happened... in the same year! Who ever thought Axl Rose and Slash would be on friendly terms again nevermind friendly enough to get the band back together. Add in bassist Duff McKagan and it's closer to the classic Guns N' Roses lineup than we ever thought would happen.

Another reunion that seemed equally unlikely as GN'R's massive return was Jerry Only and Glenn Danzig mending fences to reunite the Misfits! Unlike the massive tour that Guns embarked on, the Misfits only played an exclusive pair of shows at the Denver and Chicago editions of Riot Fest, but the possibility of more has not been concretely ruled out yet.

It was also a great your for thrash fans as three of the Big 4 acts released new records, all of which fans are calling some of the best material from each group. It's been more than three decades since this reckless fusion of punk aesthetics and heavy metal came together and it's still as strong as can be.

How about Deep Purple finally getting into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? It was long overdue and came in a year where maybe we needed it most.

We're not done with why 2016 was still a great year for music, but to find out the rest, you'll have to watch the video above!
