Tonight's the night! All you need is your ID, 20 bucks and the will to party hard for Missoula's biggest bash to ring in 2017, the New Year's Eve Blaze Ball.

We are happy to announce that Mikey Connnell of Missoula's new "Joey's Place" will be joining us to share information on what the center is about. Earlier this year, we shared with you that Mikey had plans to open a center after Missoula experienced the devastating passing of his brother Joey Connell.

Well, Mikey has kept his word, and is honoring his brother with a free, community based life maintenance and healing center. Mikey's mission is to make discussing the topics of mental health and suicide more socially acceptable in our community. Joey’s Place is meant to bring the community together, and change the stigma behind mental illness and suicide.

If you are feeling suicidal, or you are worried about somebody who may be, please reach out to Mikey directly, at 406-546-4573, by emailing joeysplace@missoulalifemaintenancecenter.com or visit Joey's Place on Facebook.

The national suicide hotline is 1-800-273-8255. The holidays, especially New Year's Eve, are extremely difficult for some, please remember the Joey's Place slogan, "we're all in it together." And take it from me, asking for help is NOT a sign of weakness, it's a strength.

For more information and to speak with Mikey Connell, please see him at our New Year's Eve Blaze Ball, where his group will be spreading their message of compassion to the metal community, and to those who suffered losses in 2016.
