This Tiny Montana Town Is Hosting a Massive ‘90s Rock Concert
Put on your flannel and turn up the nostalgia because Livingston, Montana, is getting a rock revival like it has never seen before. Everclear is rolling into town this summer to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the album "Sparkle and Fade." They’re bringing Local H and Sponge for the ride, making this one of the biggest rock shows Livingston will ever see.
Yes, Livingston! Not Missoula, not Billings...Livingston.
The cozy little town that’s better known for fly-fishing and cowboy bars is about to get a major injection of ’90s alternative rock. On Sept. 17, Pine Creek Lodge will swap its usual folk and bluegrass-y vibe for crushing guitars of three bands that helped define a generation.

Everclear’s "Sparkle and Fade" gifted us with unforgettable anthems like “Santa Monica” and “Heroin Girl.” Whether you blasted these tracks from your old CD player or screamed them into the void of your teenage bedroom, this album was an iconic moment in rock history. Now, Art Alexakis and the gang are touring to celebrate, and their songs still pack the same punch 30 years later.
Joining them are Local H, the two-man wrecking crew behind “Bound for the Floor” (the ultimate slacker anthem), and Sponge, the band that blessed us with grungy gems including “Plowed” and “Molly (16 Candles Down the Drain).” If you made a mixtape in the ‘90s, at least one of these bands likely made the cut.
Livingston may not be the first place you’d think you could catch a lineup like this, but that’s what makes this show so special.
So, if you’re revisiting your youth or passing these bangers along to a new generation, one fact is certain: this show is a must-see. Get your tickets now.
