A Perfect Circle, Greta Van Fleet + More Round Out Rock Side of 2018 Coachella Lineup
Every year since 1999, the Coachella festival has united the hottest musical acts with a primary focus on the mainstream with rap, hip-hop, indie, pop and an assortment of mashed styles and an endless list of nit-picky subgenres. While rock isn't the centerpiece of the fest, there's always a handful of acts plucked from our world and featured among the who's who of today. This year, those bands include alt rock icons A Perfect Circle, the fast rising Greta Van Fleet and more.
Indio, Calif. will host Coachella in 2018, bringing headliners The Weekend, Beyoncé and Eminem to the two-weekend event at the Empire Polo Field between April 13 through 15 as well as April 20 through 22. Greta Van Fleet and their electrifying throwback to rock's late '60s / early '70s heyday will perform on both April 13 and 20 while Highly Suspect, X Japan and The Bronx will hit the stage on April 14 and 21. A Perfect Circle will ensure each Sunday edition of the fest doesn't go without some rock as they'll play on April 15 and 22, billed high right under Eminem, Odesza, Portugal the Man and Migos.
Fans can purchase passes on Friday (Jan. 5) at 12PM PT with options including general admission, VIP, camping and a lot more. For more information, head to the Coachella website.
Eyes have been fixed on A Perfect Circle since the group reactivated last year, hinting a new album would be out in 2017 before they later refuted that notion. They kickstarted 2018 with a new song, "Disilusioned," and it appears to be all systems go for their first new album since 2004's eMOTIVe.
